I was working out on my own as well as taking group fitness classes at a local gym. Even though I felt I was doing all the right things, I still was not able to see any noticeable changes in my body or how I felt. I needed to make a change so I contacted Power 1 Fitness for help.
During my first few sessions with Jay, it quickly became apparent to me that he has an innate ability to evaluate a person’s fitness level quickly. He then uses that knowledge to create challenging and innovative workouts. In addition to this ability, his understanding of exercise physiology coupled with his knowledge of every piece of fitness equipment makes what he does for his clients unique.
Since working with Jay my entire life has changed. His patience and encouragement have truly made all the difference for me. I lost 40 lbs and 5 dress sizes. Jay encouraged me and helped me to start running. I never thought of myself as an athlete ever, but Jay believed in me and got me started. As of this writing I have completed 48 races! My greatest accomplishments are the New Jersey Marathon and the Jersey Girl Triathlon. Without his help I would never have even considered having these goals. He truly is one of a kind and I recommend Power 1 to anyone looking to improve their fitness.

I had joined Power 1 Fitness and had been exercising on my own, but knew that I needed something more to be motivated and to get the results that I wanted so I signed up for personal training sessions with Jason.
It’s been about 18 months now that I’ve been working with Jason and during that time he has not only helped me to become more physically fit, but he has also taught me about proper nutrition and has helped me to design a nutrition program that works for me, with foods that I enjoy eating. Shortly before I started working with Jason I had been diagnosed with diabetes and with Jason’s help I have been able to manage my diabetes with nothing but diet and exercise. Working with Jason as my personal trainer has been a great investment into me becoming healthier and physically fit, my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

After having 3 children in 4-1/2 years, I found myself carrying many unwanted extra pounds. Since I have worked with Jason, I have lost 75 pounds and dropped 7 sizes! When I first began working out, I was out of shape and has little endurance. Jason helped me to adjust my eating and workout routines, and he continued to adjust them whenever I reached a plateau. He was patient and encouraging, yet always challenging me to do things I never thought I would be able to do. When Jason first suggested that I take up running as a hobby, I did not know if I would be able to do it. However, with his encouragement, I have gone on run many races, including half-marathons and three full-marathons! Jason has been a huge motivation to me in my weight loss journey. I will continue to work with him to meet new fitness goals.

I have been training on my own for some time with limited success. However, with Jason as my personal trainer, in only a few weeks of training with him, I notice a change with my body. Jason quickly demonstrated that the reason I was not the desire weight had to do with number of classes I was taking.
Additionally, Jason’s personality and drive created an excellent balance between his vast knowledge of conditioning exercise and his ability to encourage and push me to reach my health goals. Now, I feel stronger and have more energy. I can definitely say that personal training has changed my life.
My only regret is that I did not sign up with personal trainer sooner. With Jason creating a customized workout program for me, it will ensure continual results, with more productive training and better results.
